Inspired by the story Around the World in 80 Days by famous French writer Jules Verne and the longing for long-distance travel during the pandemic, the Lithuanian State Wind Orchestra, together with actor Andrius Bialobžeskis present an adventurous musical journey around the continents of the world. In the days before high-speed airplanes roared across the skies, English gentleman Phillip Fogg wagered £20,000 that he could travel around the world in 80 days. However, his journey is full of curious situations and challenges. Phillip Fogg is accused of robbing a bank and is followed by a British detective, so that getting to his destination may be harder than it first seemed. The programme includes works by Paul Dukas, Julie Giroux, John Higgins, Philip Sparke, Giuseppe Verdi, Bill Whelan, Richard Rodney Bennett and others.
