This creative experiment combines the poetry of folk songs with the sound of wind instruments and brings together. Trombonist Vytautas Pilibavičius and Loreta Sungailienė. Pilibavičius is the author of many compositions in this programme, a trombone virtuoso, conductor and composer, who delights audiences in Lithuania and abroad with his improvisations and original compositions. Sungailienė, the ethnomusicologist and TV host, known as a researcher and performer of folk songs, as well as a participant of various contemporary folklore projects, here sings melodies of Lithuanian folk songs in their authentic style. The programme features original compositions by Vytautas Pilibavičius and arranged Lithuanian folk songs from various regions of Lithuania, covering the calendar cycle, work, family, war songs, as well as jazz improvisations based on Lithuanian folklore melodies.
